Acupuncture

Eastern Medicine explains that energy flows in your body through neural channels called meridians. When obstructed or weak, acupuncture needles can be applied to specified regions to restore regular flow and robustness. Most known to help with pain management and stress relief, acupuncture is also very effective for conditions such as insomnia, immune boosting, women’s health and a host of internal medicine concerns.

  • Acupuncture for Women’s Health – For centuries acupuncture has been utilized and has proven itself to be effective with many gynecological conditions such a painful or irregular menstruation, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and more. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine also work to enhance fertility by restoring health and balance to the body, mind, and spirit.
  • Cupping Therapy – Through the use of negative pressure, this “deep-tissue-massage-in-reverse” is a thorough body work modality that addresses pain, repetitive strains, inflammation, toxicity and chronic fatigue. The “lift and pull” technique administered breaks up congestion which increases lymphatic and blood flow in ways compressive massage techniques don’t often achieve.
  • Tui na and Shiatsu – Eastern approaches to massage therapy address improved circulation, muscle tension reduction and increased flexibility like conventional massage. However, like acupuncture, many of the inherent techniques including rocking, acupressure, stretching, and compression assist in rejuvenating the body and relaxing the mind.
  • Herbal Supplementation – The Chinese system of herbal medicine has been going strong for over 2,000 years. The reason? It works! Chinese herbals are food-grade herbs that have little to no side effects, and are effective for a wide range of purposes including pain management, women’s health, colds, flus, and digestive concerns.
  • Moxabustion – aka “moxa” is the application of the herb Mugwort onto specified acupuncture points combined with heat. The heating mechanism facilitates circulatory stimulation and tonification. An amazing adjunct for pain management, fatigue reduction, and enhanced organ function.
