Acupuncture

Translated to modern western terms, acupuncture treatment has an effect on the body and releases hormones and endorphins that regulate its various systems and promote healing. Using sterile needles as thin as the hair on your head, acupuncture is relatively painless and completely safe. From pain management, to stress reduction, to easing the common cold or flu, acupuncture treatments can help you.

Cupping and GuaSha

Cuppinng and GuaSha(pronounced Gwaa-shaw) are both effective Chinese medical techniques commonly used to treat pain. Cupping employs a glass cup that is suctioned to the skin. It can either be stationary on the skin or moved around to enhance the acupuncture treatment. Gua Sha employs a smooth edged tool that is gently rubbed over the skin. Both techniques rapidly stimulate circulation, break up tissue adhesions, clear metabolic wastes (toxins) that are trapped in tissue, and relieve pain and muscle spasm.

Chinese Herbs

Chinese herbs, like acupuncture, have been used safely and effectively for thousands of years. They are used in balanced combinations called formulas, which can be prescribed for all types of ailments, from arthritis to insomnia to infertility. Herbs can be a powerful tool for healing and offer the benefit of allowing patients to continue the healing process between acupuncture treatments.

Other conditions helped by chinese medicine include: low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, tennis elbow, knee pain, shoulder pain, headache, jaw pain (TMD), arthritis, nausea and vomiting, hypertension, allergies, sinus pain, plantar fasciitis and many more.
