Dr. Katanah Olson established Healthy Living Chiropractic in 2009, having earned her Bachelor of Science at Portland State University. Subsequently, she pursued a four-year program at Western States Chiropractic College in the scenic Northwest, graduating with honors in 2006. Her dedication to the field of sports medicine led her to complete a year-long postgraduate course, earning her the professional designation of a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® (CCSP) from the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians® in 2011.

With a lifelong athletic background as both a competitive gymnast and a member of the University of Oregon Dance Team, Dr. Olson possesses a deep-seated understanding of exercise physiology and nutrition. She empowers her patients with the necessary tools to proactively avoid future injuries and health complications, thereby encouraging a healthier lifestyle and striving for the elusive pinnacle of optimal health.

Dr. Olson adopts a conservative, non-invasive, holistic approach in treating patients of all ages, recognizing that each patient responds uniquely to care. Trained in various manipulation and soft tissue techniques, including the Graston technique, pin and stretch, and myofascial release technique, she is also a certified practitioner of the Active Release Technique (ART)™, enabling her to assist multiple patients in restoring normal muscle function.

Having personal experience with migraine headaches, Dr. Olson empathizes with her patients and has successfully helped many of them reduce the frequency and intensity of their headaches through the Active Release Technique (ART)™.

In her practice, Dr. Olson integrates the FAKTR Rehab System into new patient assessments as necessary, utilizing a range of evidence-based assessments to identify the root cause of pain and dysfunction. By understanding the underlying issues, she can more effectively address the cause and expedite improved results.

Employing a variety of techniques and treatments, including dynamic cupping, joint compression flossing, and the use of instruments during movement, Dr. Olson aims to optimize the time spent with each patient, addressing their unique needs efficiently and effectively.

Beyond treating sports injuries, she attends to cases such as motor vehicle accident trauma, neck pain, mid-back pain, low back pain, tension/spasm, muscle tightness, joint issues, sprains/strains, knee/ankle/foot pain, repetitive stress injuries, and more.

Dr. Olson finds joy in training for marathons and other races, as well as participating in Peloton Bike and Tread classes from the comfort of her home. Understanding the demands of juggling motherhood and marriage, she takes pleasure in assisting her busy patients in finding the most suitable core-strengthening program that fits into their schedules effectively.
